Pickup at Radisson Blu Hotel
Meet at 9:45 in front of Radisson Blu Hotel in Tromsø. Look for the guide in a blue Luhkka.
Scenic transfer to the camp
A 50-minute drive through beautiful Arctic valleys and mountains.
Meet and feed the reindeer
Feed, pet and photograph our herd of 120 reindeer in stunning surroundings.
Bidos and Sami storytelling
Enjoy a taste of traditional Bidos in the lavvu while our Sami guides share centuries of culture and history.
Return to Tromsø
Back in front of Radisson Blu Hotel by approx. 14:30.

Description

Visit a reindeer camp in a valley surrounded by mountains, about 50 minutes from Tromsø.

Meet the reindeer, feed them and spend some time taking photos. Sami guides will then tell you more about Sami culture and reindeer herding while you enjoy a traditional bidos meal made with reindeer, potatoes and carrots. A vegan option is also available.

There is time to ask questions and learn more about Sami traditions, including reindeer herding and family life.

Good to know

Pickup: 09:45 in front of Radisson Blu Hotel, Tromsø. The bus departs at 10:00.
Return: Approx. 14:30 at Radisson Blu Hotel.
Look for the guide wearing a blue Luhkka, a traditional Sami poncho.
Duration: Approx. 4.5 hours.
Activity level: Easy – suitable for families.
Food: Traditional bidos. Vegan option available.
