Arctic Bucketlist: Dogsledding, Reindeer Feeding & Storytelling tour

Spend a full day in Malangen combining dogsledding, reindeer feeding and Sami storytelling.

After a short introduction to dogsledding, you will drive your own sled with a team of huskies through the snow. Two people share each sled, with one person driving and the other as a passenger. You can switch roles halfway through the activity. The driver must be at least 18 years old.

You will also visit the reindeer yard, where you can feed the reindeer and learn more about their role in the region.

The day continues in a traditional lavvu, where you can enjoy a warm Sami bidos meal and hear stories about Sami culture and life in Northern Norway.

Good to know

• Pickup: Sjøgata 5B, 9008 Tromsø. Please arrive 15 minutes before pickup.
• Duration: Approx. 8 hours.
• Minimum age: 7 years.
• Children aged 7–17 ride as passengers. Adults may drive if weather conditions allow.
• The person driving the sled must be 18 or older.
• Good physical condition is required.
• Participation is not allowed for pregnant women.
• Vegetarian food is available with advance notice.
